Just had yet another call from them (they've been calling me twice a day on average but just silence when I pick up). This time there was actually someone on the line. The call went:
"Hi Stephen Booth speaking."
"Hi, I'm XXXXXXX with GM connect."
"Yes, I've heard of your company. Are you aware that you're calling a number that's registered with the Telephone Preference Service?"
"We're a supplier of mobile"
(interrupting)"Are you aware that you're calling a number that's registered with the Telephone Preference Service and you're probably breaking the law?" (actually I don't know if it's a law or just industry code of practice they're breaking)
"We supply mobile"
(interrupting) "Could I speak to your supervisor or the call centre manager please?"
"" (Silence)
"Could I speak to your supervisor or the call centre manager please?"
""
"Could I speak to your supervisor or the call centre manager please?"
""
"Could I speak to your supervisor or the call centre manager please?"
""
"Could I speak to your supervisor or the call centre manager please?"
(click) He hung up.
